Default Scorpion Wire IRL To GW

Has this happened to anyone else? Where you are bored of GW and left for a few days only to find nothing is as much fun as GW?

I leave the game for a few days to play another mmorpg and soon realize it sucks compared to GW... as usual one profession is overpowered..

the game was just to well designed to well without a monthly fee...

PvP based games generally strive for balance, so you'll never see classes overpowering all others (except in PvE). And what makes Guild Wars fun for me is that it combines the best elements of every strategy game I love.

Magic (skill bar restriction and mechanics), Chess (positioning), tactics based games (FFT, Tactics: Ogre, etc) (proper use of skills and positioning), and Starcraft.

Aye, I bought TitanQuest a few weeks ago and all i could do was find all the flaws that game has that Anet was able to prevent...the constant level grinding...over powered classes...and i mean insanely over powered :O
Even with minor things that annoy me, i will forever <3 Guildwars as my number 1 MMORPG

So very true, I feel the very same thing. It truely is the greatest game I've played, if it wasn't... I'd be playing something else in my spare time, as would all of you.

I think these kind of positive thread's are overshadowed by the negative ones because a lot people find it more fun to negative, than positive. Anyone posting here loves the game enough to sign up to a forum about it, log into it, read a thread and post in it... and that's more than most other games I can think of.

Hooray for positivity.

Guildwars is the only Mmporg I will play.. not because of the lack of fee's but because its actually a challenge.

Every other mmporg I've seen is just a case of bigger is better, grind grind grind and damn boring fed ex quests/kill 10 rats quests.

I shuddered at the GUI with D+Donline and it reeked of sloppy programming. Guildwars however is a pleasure to play.

Thumbs up to GW's

That is not completely true! I just found my old Diablo CD when I was cleaning some old drawers of mine. And I been hooked since.

And no, it's not Diablo II. It's Diablo ONE!

Well, I was bored of Guild Wars lately, I stopped playing for two weeks. And recently, I challenged myself to catch all the elite skills of all professions on my warrior.

Now I need a crap bunch of skill points ( 90 or so ), so I'll spend some time before getting bored again with nothing to do.

I seem to have 'Death Charged' myself to Phantasy Star Online for the Gamecube and liking it. I won't be playing Guild Wars much until Nightfall comes out.

I am in the same boat. A mix of boredom (beat the game with 5 characters and one has done both sides) so I have been looking around. Monthly fees are not an issue, but I just can't seem to find a game that looks as good as GW. So I come back.

BTW which should I go:

A/N for plague touch
A/R for apply poisin and possible crit marksman
A/Mo for better self healing

If Fable: TLC had been much longer, I would be playing that over GW..
But Fable is still a very interesting game--

killing everyone in town = vacant houses which you can buy = people renting your houses = profit

It's fun owning every single building in town, while having a wife in each.

Man....if KoTOR 1 (KoTOR 2 sucked major balls) lasted longer and was online compatible...i would be playn that instead of GW.

But i still love GW since i first got it 12 months ago. Its gettn really borin though....all im doing is tombs (152 fame from r9 w00t!) and gvg. I got my Protector Of Tyria and that was about it.
Nightfall better come out soon....and the missions better not suck bullshit like Cantha did.
